Science Splash Website

Join 30 girls entering the eighth grade in hands-on science enrichment activities.Full scholarships are provided for all the girls who are selected.

Journalism Summer Workship Website

Students receive intensive instruction from journalists and university professionals. The students' work is published by major news organizations. Students live in dormitories at Seattle University. All expenses are paid and college scholarships are awarded to two outstanding workshop participants.

Scholarship Tips
Washington College Bound Scholarship
Website

This four-year scholarship covers the cost of college tuition, fees and books for low-income students who sign a pledge in 7th or 8th grade promising to graduate from high school and to demonstrate good citizenship. The purpose of the program is to motivate and prepare students to pursue a college education.

    Eligibility:

  • Students who are eligible for the free and reduced-priced lunch program
  • Families who are receiving TANF benefits
  • All foster youth
  • Families who meet the income standards

Cougar Commitment

This program pays full tuition and required fees, and is renewable for up to four years. You can qualify for this award if you:

  • Are from a low-income or lower middle-income family in Washington and meet State Need Grant or Pell Grant requirements.
  • Apply to WSU by January 31 and enroll as a full-time freshman or transfer student.
  • Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) beginning January 1 and no later than March 1.

In general, if you’re from a family of four with an income of $46,500 or less, you could attend Washington State University tuition-free.
