University of Washington - Dr. Lengua has partnered with us in an effort to examine the needs and preferences of African immigrant and refugee community and assist in developing a culturally sensitive parenting intervention model. Dr. Lengua is a licensed Clinical Child Psychologist, an active faculty member and a research scientist at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on children's emotionality, self-regulation, coping in response to stress and contextual risk, family disruptions, parent and child transactions, and development of adjustment problems. Dr. Lengua's work.

Seattle Public Schools
- Through the Office of Family and Community Partnerships (OFCP), CWAA,  will work with selected Seattle Public Schools to increase immigrant and refugee parents' involvement in their children's education. OFCP has great interest in finding ways to build 'authentic, culturally-inclusive partnerships' with families they serve. Our alliance will focus on finding evidence-based means of reaching that goal. More on OFCP
